New Year, New Quiz, & New Charity Too?

Happy New Year to all my quizzers!

Thanks to everyone for their support this year.

The next quiz is already in preparation and will be another 'Famous Women' quiz.

We've now raised over £10k for Macmillan Cancer Support since I started doing my cryptic quizzes two years ago........so I'm wondering if now is an appropriate time to support another important charity - MIND.  Please let me know what you think by posting your comments below.

Thanks again.

  1. That sounds like a good idea - Mental Health always feels like the 'poor relation'.

Wonderful to hear that there is a new quiz in the pipeline. I would be very happy to support the MIND charity in future. I am sure everyone knows someone who has mental health problems. Julie

  5. Happy New Year. Love your quizzes. Would be delighted to support MIND charity as I have suffered with mental illness and although I have received excellent care locally I feel it needs more recognition and funding nationally.

  9. Hi Richard. I was going to nominate The Sick Childrens Trust. As we had a grandson born 12 weeks early in September weighing 2lbs 8oz. He had to undergo a very serious stomach operation at 5 days at Addenbrookes which saved his life. I think little children tend to get forgotten in charitable terms. Regards Sue Kendle

  10. MIND is a good charity, though I'd put in votes for the Arthritis charity and Cyctic Fibrosis Fund too. Whatever you chose, I love the quizzes and look forward to the next one with eagerness. Best wishes, Sarah Tevendale.

  12. We will support whichever Charity you choose. Do think its a good idea to change though as all charities welcome extra support.

  13. Richard, although I know a lot of folks think that Macmillan is a particularly worthwhile cause (often through personal experience) I do believe that most will still support your quizzes as long as you choose a well regarded charity.
